History

Sixteen years in the making.

I've been a designer for over 15 years. Originally graduating in graphic design back when Flash websites were all the rage, I’ve since pushed through the industry achieving senior-levels in visual, print, branding, digital, web, UI, UX and most recently product design.

I've delivered SaaS platforms, apps and websites, the north star visions that guide them, the design systems they’re built from, the copy, marketing materials, icons and visual assets that populate them, the flows, wireframes and schemas that describe them and the processes and design thinking that powers the design teams that service them.

Now I'm a product designer living in New York City, and I'm currently working on a financial services and payments app, doing some design mentoring and writing.

Zip (U.S.) provides online shoppers the ability to pay for anything in installments, through the use of payment plans and single-use virtual cards.

A transition to a multi-use card construct was approached for its potential to uplift TTV and provide basic quality of life improvements to the user experience.

Over the past year –
I've been based in a New York fintech.

Most senior IC in a 5-person design team at Zip – a leading BNPL fintech. Working as an end-to-end product designer for multiple squads on Zip's core mobile app product, as well as leading Zip's design system and driving team processes and user research practices.

In 2022 –
I was in Sydney, helping lead a design team at an Australian fintech.

Lead Product Designer in a team of 10+ full-stack product designers at Zip (Australia). Worked across multiple teams on mobile app features, online portals and web experiences for both B2C and B2B products. Designed a Spend Management platform, re-designed a mobile app, worked on numerous features and helped drive the North Star vision project of Zip's core app product. I also helped drive new design processes, create team principles and career pathways.

Before that –
I was working on a global SaaS product for a Sydney-based tech scale-up.

Product Designer at SiteMinder – a tech scale-up offering some of the world's leading hotel management SaaS products. Worked across several different SaaS and web-based products operating in 150 countries and 8 languages. Designed database management tools, onboarding experiences, design systems, mobile app features and more, while navigating regional compliance regulations, multi-language compatible UI and complex conditional logic involved in hotel booking, guest and inventory management.

Up until 2019 –
I led a small team of designers in a boutique digital design agency.

Lead creative in a Sydney-based digital design agency. Art directing for a small team of 4 designers, running design ops, mentoring and educating. Helming largest projects involving client presentations, some project management, planning and design. Projects included: retail and e-commerce websites for Australian Geographic, Fantastic Furniture, Mortgage House, as well as SaaS products and internal tools for Australia's largest debt consolidation company, a fintech startup in the Bill Payments space and an investment application portal.

Before that, I was drawing maps, playing video games, solving puzzles and whodunnits and trying to figure out how to do this for the rest of my life.
